How toChoose a Cartier Square Watch

Tank and Santos are both long-established watch collections from Cartier. They share common features such as square cases, Roman numeral hour markers, and blued steel hands (on some models) https://www.aomwatches.is/.

The Santos predates the Tank. According to the brand, the series was created in 1904, and the name "Santos" is directly derived from the aviator Alberto Santos Dumont. His friend Louis Cartier designed a wristwatch suitable for flight, which became the prototype for the series. Based on this, it is considered one of the world's earliest men's wristwatches. The Tank series, on the other hand, was created slightly later, with the prototype appearing in 1917 during World War I. As its name suggests, its design was inspired by a top-down view of a Reynolds tank from World War I, with the lugs seamlessly integrated into the case.

The Tank series is simple and understated, with watches leaning more towards a dress style; while the Santos series, with its pilot's watch heritage, leans more towards a sporty and industrial style. Over time, both have developed into large product families, offering various materials and complex functions. For a clearer comparison, the following refers to their respective "standard models," or entry-level versions.

Before the "quartz revolution," Cartier Tank watches mostly used precious metal cases, naturally resulting in high prices. To better integrate with contemporary trends, the Tank Must series was born. While maintaining the basic design, the historical Tank Must replaced the movement with a quartz movement, and the case material changed from pure 18k gold to silver with a gold-plated finish, the so-called "gold-plated silver." These changes further lowered the price, creating an opportunity for more enthusiasts to experience Tank watches.

Snoopy Themed Watch - OMEGA X Swatch MoonSwatch Mission To Earthphase

OMEGA and Swatch have launched a Snoopy-themed MoonSwatch – the "MoonSwatch Mission To Earthphase Moonshine Gold Beaver Moon". The watch not only cleverly incorporates Snoopy cartoon characters into the dial, but also cleverly designs the gold moon on the moon phase indicator as a playful shape that has been nibbled on by a beaver, to celebrate the "Beaver Full Moon" that appears on November 5.

The 42mm case, crown, and chronograph pushers are all crafted from navy blue BIOCERAMIC plant ceramic, while the bezel retains OMEGA's signature "dot over 90" design detail. The moonshine white dial features a finely grained texture, and all hour markers and hands are coated with Grade A Super-LumiNova luminescent material, emitting a green glow in the dark.

The white dial features a simpler layout, maximizing the "full moon" design. The double moon phase display at 2 o'clock is coated with Moonshine 18K gold, with one moon bearing Snoopy's handprint and the other resembling a fruit being bitten by a beaver. At 10 o'clock is the Earth phase indicator, where the oceans fluoresce blue under ultraviolet light. At 9 o'clock, Snoopy and Woodstock, dressed in spacesuits, are depicted looking at Earth from the moon. This design also contains a hidden Easter egg: when illuminated with ultraviolet light, Snoopy's famous quote, "I beat everybody…", will appear.

Powered by a quartz movement, the watch features a "globe" pattern printed on the battery cover. It comes with a navy blue rubber strap. Best cheap watches online, discover our affordable replica Omega Speedmaster watches collection.
